I downloaded IE8 a couple of weeks ago, and I'm not all that happy with it. I only did it because it supposedly had some security enhancements.
Well, I tried to replace it with IE7, but partly through that download, I got a diagnostic that said the download could not continue, since I already had a newer version of IE installed.
My question is probably silly, but...I have a copy of Firefox browser installed. If I go into Control Panel and delete IE8, will I be able to use Firefox to download IE7? If I can, will I have to go through the whole routine of downloading the Service Packs again, or will they be included in the current version of IE7?
Thanks in advance for any help...and thanks for having this forum that allowed me to ask the question.

Hey golfer, nice to see you here. When you uninstall IE8, you'll get IE7 back as is. Here's the easy way: If you have problems after installing Internet Explorer 8 and want to uninstall or remove it from your computer, Microsoft Fix It team has developed a free tool called UninstallIE8.MSI. This is an automated uninstaller that helps you to safely remove Internet Explorer 8 from your computer. When you remove Internet Explorer 8, your earlier version of Internet Explorer is restored with your customizations such as add-ins, Favorites, and your home page. The complete details and downloads available from this page: support.microsoft.com/kb/957700To remove Internet Explorer 8 automatically, click the Fix this problem link. Then click Run in the File Download dialog box, and follow the steps in this wizard. A Guy
